Houthi rebels have already carried out several attacks on ships sailing across the Red Sea. The situation is currently very unsafe. The Suez Canal, the main passage for all shipping from Asia, is also located on this route.
A large number of shipping companies, including Maersk, Hapag Lloyd, MSC and CMA CGM have therefore decided to change their sailing route immediately. They mostly choose to reroute via the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. This will cause a delay of 10-15 days, on top of the usual transit time.

Unfortunately this all coincides with the upcoming, busy time for Chinese New Year and the usual blank sailings and rollovers around this period. We therefore ask that you take this into account in your planning.
