Important: please provide your CBAM registration number
27 November 2025
Do you import goods made from cement, fertilizer, cast iron, steel, electricity, aluminum, or hydrogen? Then you are a CBAM importer. From January 1, 2026, Ritra Cargo, as your Direct Representative, will be required to include your CBAM registration number on import declarations. However, even if you expect to import less than 50 tons, we need your confirmation of this. Have you already notified us?
What are CBAM goods?
Raw materials that fall under CBAM goods are:
– Cement, fertilizer, (cast) iron and steel, electricity, aluminum, and hydrogen
For a complete overview of goods and additional information, please refer to the Customs website or this animation on LinkedIn.
Important for a correct import declaration
Did you import CBAM goods through us in 2025? If so, we have probably already asked you for your CBAM registration number. Was your last shipment of CBAM goods before 2025, but do you expect to import them again next year? If so, we also request that you inform us of this.
Even if you expect to import less than 50 tons of CBAM goods, we need your confirmation of this. Customs has announced that it will block shipments if the limit of 50 tons per calendar year is exceeded.
Quickly and easily provide your CBAM registration number
If you have not already done so, please email the following information to Customs Manager Randy de Jong.
