Ritra’s Supply Chain Platform is being updated
26 September 2019
“For users and by users”; that is the direction we have chosen for the development of our Traffic Control System (TCS). This led to the appearance of a large number of functionalities, which, unfortunately, does not always benefit the user-friendliness of the system. It is time for a thorough evaluation. In cooperation with TCS users and experts, the look and feel of TCS has been fully revised. We will celebrate the go-live on 10 October. Which changes can you expect?
“TCS” turns into “TRACOS”
In addition to the user friendliness of the supply chain platform, the “TCS” abbreviation was also due for an upgrade. That is why, from 10 October 2019, Traffic Control System will no longer be called “TCS”, but “TRACOS”. The meaning of the name stays the same: Traffic Control System.
What will change from 10 October?
On Thursday, 10 October, Ritra Cargo’s new supply chain platform will go live. From that moment on, clients, agents, suppliers and carriers will log in to the new environment.
Even though everything will work exactly the way you are used to, TRACOS will look completely different. Thanks to the new look and feel, it will only take a glance to see which actions should be taken and how urgent they are. In addition, a number of functionalities have been given a different (more logical) name.
Users will receive a detailed manual around the time of the go-live of TRACOS. This will serve as a step-by-step guide to working in the new environment.
New functionalities
Over the next month, a number of new functionalities will be added to TRACOS. Take, for instance:
- The choice between various sailings based on transit times and costs
- Improved groupage function
- Insight into costs
Good to know: TRACOS will enable you to establish direct contact with our ICT department through the chat function. Very useful if you have a question about a shipment, for example. Or if you want to submit a request, since custom work at client level stays possible, exactly like it was with TCS.

Come by for coffee
Our big go-live event will take place on 10 October. Ritra colleagues will visit as many TRACOS users as possible to demonstrate the updated supply chain platform. A lot of these visits will also take place after 10 October. That way, we help users to achieve a smashing start.
Are you also curious about TRACOS? We are happy to demonstrate the system to you while enjoying a good cup of coffee!
Ask your Ritra contact for a demonstration or email sales@ritra.nl.
