Ritra’s visit to Modefabriek Amsterdam

Ritra’s visit to Modefabriek Amsterdam

Bezoek van Roos & Ben aan Modefabriek 2026

Entrepreneurs in the Fashion and Retail industry are well aware of how valuable a visit to the twice-yearly Modefabriek event can be. Each edition offers a new and surprising twist on the concept, and the locations vary every time as well. This makes the event appealing to other industries as well. Now was the perfect time for Roos and Ben to attend.

Who’s who?

Roos Duivestein has been working at Ritra Cargo since 2018. She started in Customer Service and has been active in Sales for several years now. This positive, well-regarded, versatile Account Manager is regularly active on LinkedIn where she shares her personal perspective on topics such as contact with (potential) customers, day-to-day challenges and achieving a healthy work–life balance. You may have come across her there as our very own SEAfluencer.

Ben Versteeg is a relatively new face within the team. Ritra’s New Business Development Manager, who joined the company in October last year, is responsible for generating new business. With his experience, network and in-depth market knowledge, he is a valuable addition to the Sales team. Ben is also highly digitally focused and quickly found his way around our supply chain platform and ICT solution, TRACOS.

Modefabriek at a glance

Since 1996, Modefabriek has offered an excellent opportunity for discovering the latest fashion trends, making new connections and getting a real sense of what is happening in the industry. There is a wide range of exhibitors such as established brands as well as new designers. In addition, space is always reserved for inspiring lectures and presentations by leading speakers and trend forecasters.

Each twice-yearly edition has its own location and story, responding to the needs of a constantly evolving fashion market. This makes it a valuable event for any entrepreneur operating in this industry. However, due to the variation in fashion, trends, ideas and networking opportunities, it is certainly also worth a visit for entrepreneurs in other, related industries.

Exchanging ideas on inbound planning

Roos and Ben arrived in Amsterdam early on Monday 19 January—not only to meet existing contacts, but also with a clear interest in establishing new connections.

The relaxed atmosphere at Modefabriek makes it easy to exchange ideas with like-minded professionals about their inbound logistics planning without obligation. During the various conversations, both Roos and Ben noticed there is still a lack of information flow and transparency in the market. In particular, there is a shortfall when it comes to tailor-made solutions.

Ben: “There is still plenty of work to be done in the area of delivery reliability and last-minute changes. People want fewer individual updates and more overall visibility. Through TRACOS, we can support this effectively by working at a PO level, tracking cargo-ready dates at suppliers and only escalating exceptions to the customer when necessary. Fewer emails, less manual work, more customised solutions and faster response times.

Would you like to know which customers we already support in this way? Or would you like no-obligation advice on your own inbound planning? Please feel free to contact Ben Versteeg or Roos Duivestein via sales@ritra.nl
