Very unfortunate timing of strikes at ports in Belgium and France
31 March 2025

Longer waiting times still have to be reckoned with at Rotterdam terminals, at warehouses and with transporters. In addition, unfortunately, rotations to other (Northern) European ports are also common.
Obviously, these developments put extra pressure on ports such as London, Le Havre, Antwerp and Zeebrugge. Unfortunately, as of today, this results in strikes by both Belgian ports. Rumors are circulating that Le Havre Port will soon follow suit. This will also cause additional delays on the handling of ships and containers that have changed their routing to one of these ports.
We are making every effort to keep you informed of adjustments and changes to sailing schedules. Unfortunately, most of our news at this moment is not positive, but it is important to know and to share this with you as soon as possible. That is what we do every day with 100% effort.
Once again, we ask for your understanding in this situation. If you have any further questions regarding this mailing, please contact your sales contact.
